Growing up in Kentucky, Kyle Jameson (who founded the company with friends after college) was surrounded by some of the best made leather due to the horse industry. In 2012, Kyle realized that this quality leather should go beyond equine and the idea for Bluegrass Belts was born. Once the idea was concrete, Kyle got in touch with the best leather maker and brass engraver in the country to create these belts to sell at horse shows and other events across the south as well as online.
Lucky for us, we discovered this amazing product and began carrying it in our stores. Eventually Kyle decided to move on with his career and we bought Bluegrass in the Spring of 2018.
The main priority for our belts is the quality we deliver. Every belt is hand-made on a small farm outside Lexington, Kentucky using hand tools. The leather we use is the same that you see on saddle bridles on the finest horses across the country, so having this quality on your waist should feel like an honor!
